I am thrilled to show you my world, I’ve visited many places as a solo traveler, and nothing felt so uplifting like Rio. Me, Steffi, have been living in Rio for more than one year. I work here, speak the language (well, mais ou menos), and I am thrilled to show you around and ensure you have an unforgettable life experience.Due to my previous job as a guide in a surf hostel in Rio, I know the hidden beauties to visit, the must-see attractions, and good places to eat. Location

This retreat will take place in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, it’s located in the quietest part of the city of Rio de Janeiro. This place has everything you need for an unforgettable experience. Besides the accessible hiking trails, shops, kiosks, and restaurants, you are surrounded by one of the world's most beautiful beaches.

With a total of 8 surf spots close by, there is almost no chance of a day without surfing. If there is an off-day for surfing due to bad conditions, there is a skatepark located at the beach where you can improve your surf maneuvers!

ACCOMONDATION

Pousada Pontal RJ , just a few steps from Praia do Pontal. The accommodation is situated by the ocean, near the most beautiful beaches in the region.

For those who love to work remotely during their trip, this place is adjacent to a very nice breakfast bar, a pool, equipped with Wi-Fi and amazing breakfast! It's a quieter place with fewer passersby, and a shared kitchen is available!

Surf instructor

Alex Sandro Nunes; He embodies everything related to surfing; he is one of the legends here. Not only is he a great surfer and board shaper, but he is also highly skilled in surf skate! He has extensive experience in teaching surfing, is very patient, and will make sure you are the one catching a lot of waves.

A typical day

The surf retreat has something to offer for every level, from beginner to advanced. When not catching waves, you will have the chance to go on a trail adventure, Surfskate classes, or just have a tranquil day at the beach.

High-speed Wi-Fi is available for working remotely. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and oriented to the space and property.

A typical day will look like waking up in front of the ocean, having an amazing breakfast while observing the conditions and surfers, getting your mind already in the right place for your morning surfing, surf class, having lunch in one of the kiosks at the ocean or the local self-service restaurant to explore typical Brazilian dishes or simply your self-prepared meal. Your well-deserved and needed relaxation time can be spent laying in the hammock or crossing the street to relax at the beach, go for a beautiful hike trail, or watch the beautiful sunset.

Mostly, your surf class will be between 8 am and 12 pm but it will depend on the conditions on that day; we want to make sure you catch waves as much as possible! The day trip to Christ the Redeemer will depend on the weather.
